Animal Jam Concert Benefiting HAL-update

We are psyched to have the talents of three local bands coming together for one great night of music to benefit Home at Last!!

On Sun, Feb, 28th, Buster's is the place to be!!

We've got:

The Rainjunkies: "an original four piece band...whose music mixes acoustic and electric textures into a unique sound that ranges from organic backwoods whispers to full-throated indie rock."

Ma Turner: key player in several local bands (Cross, Warmer Milks) gets back to his acoustic roots for the evening for a solo show.

The Rough Customers: "a fun, danceable, high energy ska/punk band based in Lexington, KY. (And the only one, as far as they know.) Their origin is a tale of such magnitude that it is unhearable by human ears."

For just $7, you're gonna get a fantastic show AND the warm, fuzzy feeling that comes from helping a great cause!!

UPDATE:
Big thanks to Buster's, all our performers, and our very dedicated supporters!
We had a quieter Sunday evening than we had hoped--but thanks to you, we still managed to raise over $550 for the night!! Not bad, not bad at all!
The supremely talented Rainjunkies opened the evening, and offered up free CDs with any $10 donation. (be on the lookout for their new CD coming out soon!)
Next was some spectacular hooping from the lovely Josie Lamb and Marie Conger.
Ma Turner provided a rare treat with a solo set featuring several new songs.
And closing the night was a super-fun set from The Rough Customers who raffled off the chance for a private show.
All in all, it was an evening of FABULOUS local talent and we are so thankful to all who joined us for the evening. It was extremely heartwarming to see what a small group of kind-hearted folks are capable of doing for a sanctuary such as ours. THANK YOU!
